Protecting local water sources

As the Gatharaini River has been contaminated by domestic, commercial and industrial activities, and encroachment of the riparian area has led to flooding in homesteads causing solid and liquid waste to contaminate the water, this group assists youth to start income-generating activities, such as poultry farming, goat rearing and tree nurseries. In turn, youth volunteer their time and resources to restore the riparian areas along the river while also lobbying against those who pollute the river.
