Resisting mining projects in Guatemala

Resistencia Pacífica La Puya is resisting threats to water, health, security, and social fabric of local communities from the mining project Progreso VII Derivada, or El Tambor, advanced by the U.S. company Kappes, Cassiday & Associates. They will publish a report on the human rights violations resulting from the mining project and subsequent arbitration.
