Building economic futures

Livelihoods Knowledge Exchange Network is a network for scholarly/community collaboration to build economic futures based on local assets, values, and vision.

It is conducting intergenerational, intersectional, and Indigenous women-led research to identify culturally appropriate responses to COVID-19 and study the impact of the pandemic, the climate, and other environmental factors on women’s health and other marginalized Indigenous communities. They intend to use their research to raise awareness around the linkages between the changing climate and the spread of infectious diseases such as the coronavirus.
